Happy New Year! After spending New Years Eve with my family in New York, it is time to get back to training on Monday. I wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Maurice, how do you keep your focus for such a longtime while you are on stage?
Hey Amy,
That is a very good question. As I tell all of my students, you must love what you are doing on stage. You must perform for yourself. Not for your parents, teacher, or anyone else. The moment you understand that as a performer or as a student of music, you will take your musicianship to the next level. After that, it is all about the proper training. You must live and breathe the music that you are playing. That is the best advice that I can give to you. Good luck.

GREAT SHOW!
The Memorial Concert was a huge hit. It was a packed house. Over 250 people came out to pay tribute to Kari Koppinen last Thursday Night at The Emelin Theater. Here is a video clip from the performance.
CONCERT FOR KARI
The Memorial Concert for Maurice's brother Kari Koppinen is booked for October 20, 2011 at 7:30PM at the Emelin Theater in Mamaroneck, NY. I hope to see you there. I will be performing a full concert.
STUDENT'S RECITAL
When Maurice is not performing or recording he is training his talented students. Come and see them perform on June 13th at the New Rochelle Library.
GERMAN EMBASSY
Come See Maurice play Chopin's Ballade No. 2 at the German Embassy in Manhattan on June 18th at 3PM.
